How to Begin Using SOAR:

STUDENTS

1.  Go to the website: www.SoarAtHome.org

2.  Click on 'Returning Students Sign-In' and use your student username and student password to login to the Assessment Center.

3.  Students are taken directly into the testing center.  Begin by taking an assessment in either reading (ELA) or math.  Press start to begin.  You can pause a test at any time and continue it later.

4.  Once a test is complete, click the green report button to see how you did.

5.  For each question, you can click on the blue 'E!' button for an explanation of why an answer is right or wrong.

6.  Skill Resources are activities that you can do on your own (Skills Tutor Lessons) or with a parent (Parent Resources) to help increase understanding.  Skills Tutor lessons are interactive containing animation or audio.

PARENTS

1.  Go to the website:  www.SoarAtHome.org

2.  In the top right, 'Parent Sign-in' section, enter your parent username and password and click 'Login'

3.  Choose EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES from the menu on the left.  From there, you can:

  • Access your Child's Account. Monitor your child's progress or edit their information.
  • View Parent Tutorials on how to use SOAR.
  • View SOAR Learning Videos and the complete video library for reading and math.

4.  Access Your Child's Account and view completed assignments.  Identify areas where they need help.  Select the Skill Resources and view the Parent Resources.  These are activities that can be done at home with your child.  View Learning Videos to provide additional help.
